Dentistry on King with a highly-rated Toronto Dentist in downtown is seeking an experienced, energetic and compassionate Clinical IV Sedation Nurse to join our specialized dentistry practice. This is a part-time position with the hourly rate of $40-$50 per hour. Members of our team must model our values and attitudes that are dedicated to world-class service. Description
We are looking for the right candidate to join our caring team of dental enthusiasts at Dentistry on King. We strive to provide a pleasant experience for all patients at our office. Your primary duties for this role include all the task required for administering sedation for patients for their dental procedure. Our ideal candidate is a personable and highly professional individual who loves their love.
Responsibilities
- Venipuncture
- Monitoring patient vital signs
- Assessing and maintaining patient airways
- Keeping and maintaining records
- Administering medications as directed
- Assisting in emergency procedures
- Initiation & shutdown of gas system
- Priming IV lines
- Printing prescriptions
- Preparing patients for procedures (including with sedation)
- Recovery and operation room maintenance duties
- Delivering post-operative instructions
- Post-operative telephone follow-ups (and similar)
- Other related duties

Qualifications
- Proven experience as a sedation nurse (Required)
- Previously experience in dental office setting (Preferred)
- RN registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (Required)
- PALS License (Preferred)
- Outstanding communication skills

- Attention to detail is a must!
