Dr. Alavi received his B.Sc. degree from the University of Waterloo and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery training at the University of Toronto. Following his graduation, he was awarded with one year of hospital dental residency at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto where he provided dental services to hospital inpatients and a large group of medically compromised outpatient population.
Furthermore, he gained valuable clinical experience in management of patients with special needs and is certified to provide moderate IV sedation. Dr. Alavi enjoys practicing all facets of general dentistry and always seeks to further his skills and education by participating in numerous dental and continuing education courses and seminars.He is an energetic doctor with great interpersonal skills who always puts his patients’ comfort and satisfaction first.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Alavi is a master swimmer, avid traveller, aspiring cook and has an uncompromising passion for a good coffee.
Dr. Shahrzad Hashemi was born in Iran and moved to Toronto at the age of 17. She earned her Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in 2018. Dr. Shahrzad is committed to offering quality dental care with a grounding presence, compassion, and gentleness, providing a safe and comforting space for patients who may feel anxious about dental treatments.
She is dedicated to ongoing professional growth and continuously expands her skills through continuing education.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Shahrzad enjoys practicing yoga, dancing, traveling with her husband, and cherishing time with family and friends.
Dr. Lauren Fichman was born and raised in Toronto. She attended Toronto Montessori School, where she completed the International Baccalaureate program, before earning her Honours Bachelor of Science degree at Queen’s University. She then returned home to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry.Dr. Fichman is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centred care and believes that a great dental experience begins with making patients feel comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. She provides a wide range of dental services, including extractions with nitrous oxide sedation, cosmetic bonding, and crowns. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Fichman enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and staying active.
Dr. Eilyad Honarparvar, a graduate of Western University, enjoys meeting new patients and building strong relationships with them. He takes the time to understand each patient’s individual needs and concerns and works with them to develop personalized treatment plans. Dr. Honarparvar values open communication and discusses treatment options with his patients to help them make informed decisions about their dental care.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Honarparvar regularly participates in continuing dental education to stay current with advancements in the field. Through his patient-centred approach and ongoing professional development, he strives to provide personalized care that supports the oral health and well-being of his patients.
